{"id":1460,"date":"2015-05-24T06:58:28","date_gmt":"2015-05-24T05:58:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scottishcraftbrewers.org\/?p=1460"},"modified":"2015-05-24T07:43:25","modified_gmt":"2015-05-24T06:43:25","slug":"2015-agm-mccowans-fountain-park-edinburgh-10th-may-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scottishcraftbrewers.org\/?p=1460","title":{"rendered":"2015 AGM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Club 2015 AGM was held on 10th May at\u00a0McCowan\u2019s Pub, Fountain Park, Edinburgh<\/p>\n<h2>Minutes of the AGM<\/h2>\n<h3>Treasurer\u2019s Report:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a31458.75 in funds<\/li>\n<li>31 members have renewed<\/li>\n<li>Report was accepted and seconded<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Membership:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Reminders for membership fees<\/li>\n<li>Generate names from membership list and contact<\/li>\n<li>Contact people who haven\u2019t been to a meeting in a long time and ask if they still want to pay &#8211;\u00a0Norrie is working through these on an ad-hoc basis.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Historically April is start of membership year.<\/li>\n<li>Remind members that they can pay through cash or standing order. Better for record\u00a0keeping that a Standing order is raised. This can be done in paper form or electronically by\u00a0the new\/renewing member. \u00a0Fees will be: \u00a38 for direct debit or standing order and \u00a310 if paying cash at a meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Office Bearers for 2015\/16<\/h3>\n<p>As is traditional at our AGM, the election of office bearers for the coming year took place. The following club members were elected.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>President: Malcolm Cruickshank<\/li>\n<li>Vice president: Eli Donald<\/li>\n<li>Secretary: Norrie Pederson<\/li>\n<li>Treasurer: Bob Bristow<\/li>\n<li>Membership Secretary: Gordon Nicol<\/li>\n<li>Digital Media Manager: Arek\u00a0Makarenko<\/li>\n<li>Non office bearing committee: Davie Whyte has stepped down . Aled is to send the list out to\u00a0Eli, for use on the website.<\/li>\n<li>See <a href=\"http:\/\/scottishcraftbrewers.org\/?page_id=1468\">webpage<\/a> for contact details<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It was noted that you don\u2019t need to be on the committee to put forward suggestions etc.<\/p>\n<p>Eli requested that members support the website. Stephen and Aled will input into the wordpress blog.<\/p>\n<p>Aled Murphy will have a look at the SCB twitter account.<\/p>\n<p>Ask Arek as to what the new Video Conference software we are using is.<\/p>\n<p>Ian McManus stepping down from an Office Bearer role! After 17 years of service to the SCB\u00a0organisation, Ian, is putting his ledger aside. He has held all the offices on the committee and to\u00a0acknowledge his commitment to the SCB he has been made a life member.<\/p>\n<p>Bill Cooper said a few words describing the inaugural meeting held in 1997. The SCB was set up just\u00a0after the CBA was set up \u2013 it was felt that something similar should be started in Scotland. Ian\u2019s\u00a0input both as a brewer, qualified Judge and friend is appreciated and the SCB would have been a less\u00a0happy place without him.<\/p>\n<h3>2015\/16 Itinerary<\/h3>\n<p>Restart midweek meetings \u2013 is this possible? \u00a0The Brewstore was proposed.
